The Distribution Economics Institute of Japan

About Us

Message from Chairman

Founded in 1966, the Distribution Economics Institute of Japan (DEIJ) is a not-for-profit research organization that operates under the guidance of the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

The DEIJ performs a wide range of survey and research activities in the field of distribution and marketing for a variety of public organizations and private companies. We are a team of professionals dedicated to the continued growth of retailers, wholesalers, and manufacturers as well as the needs of the consumers they serve.

Our board of directors includes top executives from some of Japan's leading manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers. From the latest research on in-store marketing, involving POS data analysis and more, to discovering new opportunities for Japanese companies in the international marketplace, our goal is to provide the key that will open the door to new business horizons.
